It was Friday evening. I decided to check my email because my family and friends had always sent emails to me.

I quickly looked through the emails, a lot of the emails were spam. Amongst the spam, there was a letter talking about a web design competition, and the winner would win $100.

I decided to delete all the spam from my inbox except for this email that talked about the $100 web design competition. I decided to accept this competition.

I decided to do my website on the topic of The Simpson's. The website I had in mind was going to be fun, and creative looking.

I decided to use my favourite search engine, Google. I started up Google and started researching about The Simpson's and how it started and any other information I needed for my website. When I was finished with the information, I used Google to started looking for images.

When I had finished with the researching, I started up Dreamweaver, a web designing program. I started creating the home page of the website, where it would welcome it's guest and tell them what this website was about. When I had completed the home page, I decided to test the home page on internet explorer.

The home page looked perfect. I then started working on the other pages of the website.

The website had taken me two weeks to complete.

When I was complete with the website, I visited the website printed in the email and clicked 'Upload Site' on the top left hand corner of the website.

When the website finished uploading, it was a matter of waiting for the results. I was hoping that I would win, but then also thought to myself that there are a lot of good web designers out there and that I would not win, but I also thought to myself that at least I tried my best, and gave it a go.

According to the website, the web design competition results would be announced in one week so they could give the other web designers more time to complete their websites.

When one week had passed, I visited the website and I saw the results displayed on their home page.

The news had a big bold title saying "Web Design Competition won by David Marshen". I was so amazed. I could not believe it. I won the competition.

The website managers emailed me and asked me for my Paypal address so they could pay me, I was soon paid and was happy I won!
