I am going to tell you about a chapter that I learned in my computer class today. It first started out with what is an internet provider. To answer that question takes a lot of thought. An internet provider is what you are connected to in order to get internet. It could be anything from a phone line, cable, or a dish. Now when you are talking about a phone line for your internet provider, remember you can have either dial up or dsl, because they both go through the phone line. If you have dial up means your phone line is tied up while on the internet and dsl is you can talk on the phone while being on the internet. I like learning about the internet provider, and to know what types there are.

Now if you have a fast internet provider you can download a lot faster. You can download things like pictures, songs, videos, and movies if you know where to search for them at. I remember reading some place where if you download songs, it is illegal. If they catch you at it, you could be paying a huge fine. I will not download anything off the internet for fear of me getting caught doing something illegal.

In this chapter we even covered dating on-line. Now that was my topic, because I tried that once. All you do is type in dating on-line for doing a search topic and it will bring up about 100 sites. If you are serious about it and looking for a good one, type in free dating on-line. They always say the best things in life are free.

We also discussed web sites. The chapter explained how you could develop your own website if you wanted to. We were each given a topic to try to develop our own website, and it was a lot of fun. Some required different software, and others you could use your knowledge from the internet.

Now if you really wanted to design a nice one, you could always call a web software development company. I even did some searching on that topic and the cost for hiring one of those development centers was like $250 an hour. I think I will just stick to trying to design my own until I am out of college completely. I only have 1 year left, and am learning a lot of new ideas.
